With the new industrial site consisting of 2 workplaces on an area of 870 thousand 21 square meters, our tradesmen brothers serving in our district will have a modern and peaceful site. Moreover, with the recreation area to be created on the site of the old industrial buildings, our Bağarası neighborhood will have a brand new public space. We are all happy that the competitiveness of our tradesmen will increase in this economic bottleneck.”
“Our Foça, our İzmir deserves the best of everything”
Stating that Foça is one of the most valuable districts of İzmir, Mayor Soyer said, “But we know that Foça is not just about the seaside. Bağarası District, where we are today, is a very important settlement that feeds Foça and İzmir city center. It is an extremely important agricultural basin. Now I promise you one more time here. Our Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, together with the Foça Municipality, will continue to expand its investments in Bağarası without slowing down. Whoever lives in Bağarası, with its tradesmen, industrialists, farmers and workers, will benefit from the facilities of our municipality just as much as our citizens in the coastal regions. The proof of what I have said is the investments made by our Metropolitan Municipality in Foça so far. In the last four years, the total amount of investment made in our district by our municipality has reached 605 million liras. I do not say this to brag, I just want to state that we will continue these investments despite all the difficult conditions. This means that our Municipality has invested approximately 18 thousand liras for each Foça citizen in the last four years. In this, we have many services such as treatment plants, waste water and rain water construction, Foça Castle platforms, hot asphalt, surface coating. As our opportunities increase, we are determined to increase these investments even more. Because our Foça and İzmir deserve the best of everything. Under the current economic conditions, it has become more meaningful than ever to be in cooperation and solidarity. As we enter the 100th year of our Republic, we realize very well what our ancestors overcame 100 years ago with unity and solidarity. I believe that there is no difficulty that we cannot overcome by standing together and acting together.”
“We still have a very important choice ahead of us”
Stating that he was excited to be at the ceremony, CHP Deputy Chairman Bülent Kuşoğlu emphasized the importance of the projects implemented locally and said, “Our Metropolitan Mayor talked about the 605 million lira investment in Foça. This is a beautiful event. We had a pandemic. Never before had such an abnormal period occurred. Despite the great pressure on CHP municipalities, CHP municipality has achieved very important successes.

CHP Deputy Chairman Hasan Efe Uyar also drew attention to the inflation and the constant price hikes, especially after the election, and said, “In such an environment, such investments of our local governments and services that touch the lives of the city and people gain more meaning. Ufuk Deveci, who stated that the industrial site is a project they have been waiting for for years and spoke as a representative of the tradesmen, said, “We are very happy that the problems we are experiencing will end.
