Üsküdar Municipality has also taken action for the production of mobile toilets, which has become the biggest need after mobile soup kitchens in the earthquake region.

Üsküdar Municipality Cleaning Works Directorate, which created a special area in the Waste Management Center in Üsküdar Selimiye, started the production of portable toilets with a crowded team of municipal employees.

Teams that produce portable toilets in two different ways, European and Turkish, use propane materials. Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, who announced the production on his social media account, said, “One of the biggest needs in the earthquake region is toilet and sink. We started to produce portable toilet-sink in our own workshop. We will deliver them to disaster areas as quickly as possible in as many quantities as possible. Our pain is great, but we will get through these days quickly by working hard together.”

In the first stage, 100 pieces of portable toilets and washbasins were produced. The first batch of mobile toilets and washbasins produced were set on the road to be delivered to Iskenderun, which is the responsibility area of ​​Üsküdar Municipality. The work in the workshop at Selimiye Waste Management Center will not be limited to this, and the manufactured portable toilets and sinks will continue to be sent to other earthquake zones.
