Marmaray with Numbers: Marmaray works connecting Asia and Europe are coming to an end. Until now, 11 kilometers of rail have been laid, including departure and return. Test drives will begin after the rails are installed. On the other hand, the ventilation system, fire alarms, lighting, permanent decoration of the station and the construction of transportation stairs are also continuing rapidly.

Rail laying works continue at Marmaray, which is seen as the project of the century. In the rail assembly started by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on 14 January 2012, it was time for tube tunnels. The rail assembly, starting from Ayrılıkçeşme, extended to the tube tunnels. To date, 11 kilometers of rail have been laid in both departure and return directions. The efforts to meet the two sides of the Bosphorus with rails will be completed at the end of the summer. Work is continuing rapidly in the Marmaray project, which includes the world's deepest immersed tube tunnels. In the first place, the separation between Ayrılıkçeşme-Kazlıçeşme and even rail laying works reached tube tunnels. 11 kilometers of rails have been laid in both directions so far between Ayrılıkçeşme and Kazlıçeşme, where Prime Minister Erdogan first assembled the rail. A total of 27 kilometers of rails will be laid between Ayrılıkçeşme and Kazlıçeşme, which are 54 kilometers long. In the project where 120-150 m rails are mounted per day, 3-4 km rails are completed per month. After the completion of the rail installation laid with millimeter calculations, test drives will begin. On the other hand, while rail laying continues in tube tunnels, ventilation system, fire alarms, lighting, permanent decoration of the station and the construction of transportation stairs continue.

As part of the Marmaray Project, there will be a total of 40 stations on the Asian and European sides. 75 thousand passengers per hour will be transported in one direction and the train will be able to move every 2 minutes on the line. When the project is completed, the distance between Üsküdar and Sirkeci will be reduced to only 4 minutes, from Söğütlüçeşme to Yenikapı in 12 minutes, from Bostancı to Bakırköy in 37 minutes, from Gebze. Halkalıwill be reached in 105 minutes. Marmaray, where passengers will pass by day and freight trains at night, will take off in Germany or France with the rail system to be integrated with Europe.
