Speaking at the Provincial Coordination Meeting held in Kocaeli Governorate, DLH Marmaray Istanbul Regional Manager Nurdan Memişoğlu explained that they are aiming to connect the two stations together with Marmaray at Apaydın Gebze-Darıca Metro and plan to finish the works in 2023.
Kocaeli Provincial Coordination Meeting is taking place today at the Akçakoca Meeting Hall in the Governorship of Kocaeli. Speaking at the meeting, chaired by Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz, DLH Marmaray Istanbul Regional Manager Nurdan Memişoğlu Apaydın noted: “We are responsible for the construction of many subway works in Istanbul. Gebze Halkalı we are also responsible for the railway line. After this job we completed recently, we did not have an investment in Kocaeli, but Gebze Darıca subway, which was put out to tender last year, was transferred to our regional directorate.
“4 BILLION 220 MILLION 323 THOUSAND TL COST”
We have a great work with a budget of 4 billion 200 million. As you know, this study covers Gebze district in Kocaeli province and this study has a price of 4 billion 220 million 323 thousand TL. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has started to work, but Railway is a hard work, so the transfer of our municipality was deemed appropriate. Our scope includes a 14.5 kilometer rail, storage area and a driverless area called GOA. We start from the Darica coast. We have 11 stations, in fact, we are connecting to Darica Beach-Gebze OSB. Therefore, it will meet the great need of the citizens living in Gebze.
“WE PLANNING TO OPEN TO SERVICE IN 2023”
We plan to complete a work that can take 5-6 years as long as possible to make these structures in the city both difficult and difficult for the public. We placed both arms and placed wheelchairs for mobilization to facilitate transportation to the hospital. We carried out a study that arranged the electro mechanics accordingly and regulated the transportation of the hospital accordingly.

Therefore, the governor's office has been very helpful in speeding up our works and expropriating the field as soon as we enter the field. We are thinking of connecting two stations with Gebze Marmara. Construction site has been converted at Fatih State Hospital, electrical displacement has been completed and works are starting. There is a work in Gebze city square that has been going on for a year and the square was under occupation. We shut it down as of August and open it to the public.
“We could not take place from OSB”
We are waiting for permission from the Ministry of Forestry to enter the OIZ. Here we carried the station with the favor of the forest because we could not get a place from the OSB. Now the Regional Directorate of Forestry has completed the documents, now we are waiting for approval. ”
