The opening date of the Eurasian Tunnel

The opening date of the Eurasian Tunnel was confirmed: The Ministry of Transport announced that the Eurasia Tunnel, which is expected to breathe into Istanbul traffic, will be put into service at the beginning of 2017.

The construction of the ongoing Eurasia Tunnel and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge from the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications came from an explanation. The Ministry postponed the October calendar of 2016 for the Eurasia Tunnel to the first quarter of 2017 and did not provide information about the opening date of the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which will connect the two sides for the third time.

The rail system to be integrated with Marmaray and Istanbul Metro will connect Atatürk Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport and the 3rd Airport under construction. In the statement, for which no exact date was given for its opening, “The production of main cable collars and suspension ropes is still ongoing. It is aimed that the Northern Marmara Motorway and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, whose construction works are still ongoing, will be completed and put into service as soon as possible.
