Van Metropolitan Municipality carried 2019 million 10 thousand 856 people in 579 with the 'Electronic Fee Collection System' (BELVAN KART).
Bringing a new breath to the city transportation with Electronic Fare Collection System and smart stops, Metropolitan Municipality continues its works to increase quality and comfort in public transportation. In this context, transformation work was started for public buses, and many innovations were made, especially for WIFI in buses belonging to the metropolitan municipality.
Citizens' Electronic Fare Collection System (BELVAN CARD) application, 75 municipal buses and 96 public buses on 104 routes. According to 2019 data, 10 million 856 thousand 579 passengers were transported with BELVAN CARD as of today. Approximately 5 million 500 thousand of these passengers took advantage of free and discounted tariffs.
Throughout the city, 6 smart filling points and 72 dealers, 41 thousand free and discounted, 36 thousand full 77 thousand cards were sold in total.
On the other hand, since November 2017, the time limit for public buses, which have been collected by hand, expires on 1 January 2020. Starting from this date, the fee is completely removed from the hand, the public bus is determined to take charge of hand penalty will be applied.
