Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that they have now made 3 percent overall progress in the AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro project, which consists of 92 stations, namely the Gar Station, the Courthouse Station and the Kızılay Station.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made examinations at the AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro Construction Site and received information from the authorities about the works. Karaismailoğlu, who later had sahur with the workers, said in his speech that one of the easiest and fastest ways of transportation in many cities of the world is rail systems.

Stating that they have been serving the country with transportation projects for 20 years, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said that they have focused on rail projects, especially in the last period, and that they will accelerate the ongoing projects. One of these projects stood out as the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro.

Having sahur with the employees at the metro construction site, Minister of Transport Adil Karaismailoğlu said, “Now we are building the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro. When we complete this connection, we increase the total line length of Ankara subways to approximately 3 times. The AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro, which consists of 3 stations, namely the Gar Station, the Courthouse Station and the Kızılay Station, is a very important project in terms of providing direct metro transportation from Keçiören to Kızılay," and emphasized the importance of the project.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that they have now made progress at the level of 92 percent in the entire project. When the AKM – Kızılay metro is completed, the obligation to transfer with the Keçiören metro will be eliminated, and it will also provide great convenience in transferring to many metro lines. The giant project was eagerly awaited by the people of Keçiören.
