Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, who came to the city to examine the activities of the T3 Foundation in Adıyaman, visited the Container City and the T3 Foundation Science Tent.
Answering the questions of journalists, Bayraktar said, “In 2023, we were shaken by the two largest earthquakes ever experienced on land throughout the history of the world. Just like the solidarity shown by our nation, we mobilized together with our volunteer friends at BAYKAR Turkey Technology Team Foundation and our volunteer friends at Can Health. As BAYKAR, we first provided cash aid, then within a short time, within a day or two, we went to the field with friends from both T3 and Life Health, and our work in the field has continued since then. In addition, we established our container city in Maraş and donated it to our state. Immediately afterwards, we started working to donate it to our state and nation in order to build permanent residences. These continue in our three cities. Our work continues in Adıyaman, Maraş and Hatay, including a total of one thousand residences in three regions, one of which is in Adıyaman. Hopefully, our residences in Maraş will be realized in May.” said.
Bayraktar said, “Hopefully, our teams will complete it in Maraş and Hatay and we will deliver it to our state. On the one hand, we, as the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Life Health Foundation, have established experimental workshops and psychological support centers with our volunteers in the established container cities, and our volunteers continue to work in them from the first day. As today is the anniversary, we came together again with our friends in the field and our young people here due to the disaster. We have just examined their activities and we have young people growing up in the Teknofest generation. Teknofest 2024 will be in Adana and we have young people preparing for it. Besides all this bitter destruction, there is also a warm solidarity. Currently, we see the same solidarity here, just like the fortitude, fortitude and effort that our nation showed in Çanakkale 100 years ago. As the Life Health Foundation, our teams of volunteer doctors and psychiatrists were on the field from the first day and served in psycho-social solidarity centers, first in tent cities. Of course, the wounds of such a great disaster are not easily healed. We and our volunteer companions tried their best. As we said, the traumas of these events are also severe.” he said.
