Design and build bridges from cartons

Designing bridges from cartons and competing: The students of the Faculty of Engineering competed with their model board models. Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Engineering Building Club organized a Model Bridge Competition. In the activity realized with the participation of faculty members, employees and students of the Faculty of Engineering, model models made of cardboard made by the faculty students were evaluated.
Head of Department of Civil Engineering Dr. Ali Osman Atahan mentioned that such competition activities encouraged engineering students and provided benefits for self-confidence. The captain of the team that won the first place in the Build & Construct 2014 Steel Bridge Competition, Civil Engineering Department academic staff member Res. See. M. Musab Erdem gave general information about the preparation process by explaining their participation in the competition.
Then, the model bridges were evaluated aesthetically by the jury formed by the faculty members working in the Department of Civil Engineering. The bridges, whose evaluation was completed, were first weighed with the help of the precision scales and then subjected to the loading test. The bridges, whose evaluation has been completed, were ranked by ranking score table.
After the evaluation process that lasted about two hours, the captain of the team who was the first in the Bosphorus Bridge Competition was Arş. See. M. Musab Erdem, Asst. Assoc. Gift certificates and appreciation plaques were presented by Dr.Fatih Unes.
