
Aegean Young Businessmen Association (EGİAD), held the 2025 leg of the traditional Industry Council meeting, which takes the pulse of the industrial world, at BonVivant Passport located in the center of Izmir. The event, organized under the leadership of the Industry and Sustainability Commission and accompanied by the sunset on the seaside, brought together a distinguished group of 35 industrialists.
EGİAD, continues to shape the future of Izmir industry with its members through events focusing on sustainability, innovation and strategic transformation in production. EGİAD The organization, in which members of the Board of Directors and members operating in the industry participated, combined with the warm atmosphere of the summer, paved the way for the emergence of new ideas and collaborations. EGİAD At the meeting hosted by Chairman of the Board Kaan Özhelvacı, strategic roadmaps for the future of production were discussed.
The opening speech of the event was made by EGİAD Chairman of the Board Kaan Özhelvacı, drawing attention to the strategic importance of the industry for the Turkish economy, EGİADHe emphasized the determination of the company in this field with the following words: “EGİAD As, we are once again bringing the industrial sector, which we have been focusing on with determination, to the agenda. Because we know very well that the development story of a country is written in its factories, production lines, and innovation-based processes. Industry is the cornerstone of employment, exports, technological progress, and sustainable development. EGİAD As a company, we will continue to be the voice of our industrialists and continue our search for solutions with determination. EGİAD, acts with the claim of building not only today's but also tomorrow's business world. Here, we are not only talking about today; we are also discussing how to prepare for the competitive conditions of the future, what skills and transformations we need. For this reason, we designed this event not only as a summer meeting; but also as an evening that sheds light on our strategic transformation process, and addresses many topics from education to technology, from human resources to sectoral vision.”
In the “Apprenticeship School” panel held as part of the event, solution proposals for bringing young workforce into the industry were discussed. EGİAD The speakers of the panel moderated by Murat Özbek, Chairman of the Industry and Sustainability Commission, included Can Atik – Atik Metal, Selin Baysak Altan – Terbay and Ece Elbirlik Ürkmez – İnci Holding. Then, with the presentation titled “How Should We Not Use Artificial Intelligence in Industry?” by Skymod Founder Oltan Dere and İzmir Bilimpark General Manager Kayahan Dede, awareness was raised by drawing attention to the developments in artificial intelligence applications.
At the meeting, which was held at sunset and ended with a dinner program, opinions were exchanged within the framework of sustainability, innovation and strategic transformation in production.
