The World Health Organization (WHO) European Healthy Cities Network 2025 meeting will be held at the Atatürk Cultural Center Merinos Campus, hosted by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality between 17-19 June.
The European Healthy Cities Network, which includes more than 1900 cities and municipalities around the world, contributes to the sharing of good practices in the field of urban health, the establishment of strategic partnerships and the enhancement of the resilience capacity of cities through the Annual Business Meeting and Technical Conference held in a different city each year.
As a result of the evaluation made by WHO, Bursa was selected as the city to host the 2025 meeting. Thus, for the first time in Türkiye, an event of this scope will be organized in Bursa at the international level.
This year, the meeting will be held under the theme of “Resilient Healthy Cities: Creating Sustainable Urban Futures for All” and will be attended by approximately 500 local and international participants from the WHO European Region and beyond. The conference will host important discussions at both scientific and political levels, with sessions to be held under the titles of Well-being, Planet, Participation, People, Place and Peace.
The conference is also the final meeting of Phase VII of the European Healthy Cities Network, covering the period 2019-2025. As part of the program, successes from previous years will be evaluated, challenges encountered will be discussed and strategies for the transition to Phase VIII will be determined.
