
Women who participated in the 'Gas Welding Training' organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality will be employed as welders after the training.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to increase women's employment. In this context, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Business Office, Bursa Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (BESOB) and ALSTOM company organized 'Gas welding training' in cooperation. In the training, first, theoretical and practical information that could be useful in the job search process was given to women trainees. The women, who also received theoretical training in the BESOB training area, later received practical training at ALSTOM company. After a total of 140 hours of training, participants who learned the intricacies of welding and will be employed in the sector were presented with participation certificates.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said that they have implemented many projects to increase women's participation in the workforce. Stating that Turkish women can be successful in every field, Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, “We are organizing various trainings through the Bursa Business Office in order to ensure women's active participation in the workforce. We both support women's employment and aim to provide a solution to the technical staff shortage in the industrial sector. I congratulate all women who participated in the training. We will continue to organize vocational trainings in different areas in the upcoming process. We will provide trainings on subjects such as cocoa and coffee maker (barista), cake training, assistant cook training, patient and elderly care training, child care staff training, canva training, adobe illustrator, excel training, basic operations training in women's clothing production, wagon trainee, bus driver, payroll and personnel affairs.”
