Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality placed direction signs at 71 different points in order to provide easier access to tourism destinations throughout the city for local and foreign tourists.
Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality has implemented another important project aimed at strengthening the city’s tourism infrastructure. As part of the study conducted under the coordination of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs and the Department of Transportation, direction signs in Turkish and English that will facilitate access to tourism destinations have been placed at 71 different points throughout the city. The project, which aims to make historical and cultural heritage areas, natural beauties, and prominent visiting points more easily accessible, will especially facilitate the orientation processes of local and foreign tourists within the city. The statement from Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality said, “Trabzon is a unique city in terms of its historical, natural, and cultural richness. We have completed an important study in order to make this richness more visible and to direct tourism activity in a healthy way. With the Turkish and English direction signs placed at 71 different points, we aim to ensure that our guests who come to our city can easily reach their destinations.”
