No Drugs in Antalya!

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 107 street dealers were detained and 104 of them were arrested within the scope of drug operations carried out in Antalya. Judicial control decisions were issued for 3 people.

Minister Yerlikaya stated in his statement on social media that the operations have been ongoing for the last two weeks and the preparation process has been going on for approximately four months. The statement stated that the focus was on catching street vendors who were particularly targeting young people.

The operations were carried out in the Manavgat, Alanya, Kaş, Finike, Elmalı, Korkuteli and Serik districts of Antalya with the participation of the Analysis and Tracking Teams of the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Gendarmerie General Command, 645 gendarmerie personnel and 5 narcotics dogs.

Yerlikaya noted that the operations were planned as a result of detailed field studies and technical-physical monitoring, and thanked the Antalya Governorship, Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, district governorships and gendarmerie teams.

Emphasizing that the fight against drugs will continue with determination, Yerlikaya said, “If you try to touch our youth, you will pay the price before the law.”
