Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that touristic train services will start with the Karaelmas Express on the Ankara-Zonguldak-Ankara route with the protocol signed between the Republic of Turkey State Railways Transportation Inc., the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA) and the Zonguldak Special Provincial Administration (ZİÖİ).
Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our special train, which will be operated under the name of Touristic Karaelmas Express, will make its first journey on June 13, 2025. Our train will offer passengers the opportunity to rediscover the cultural and natural heritage of the Western Black Sea.”
8 Mutual Expeditions Will Be Organized
The train, which will make a total of 8 round trips, will consist of 2 dining cars, 4 sleeping cars and 1 couchette car. The train, which has a capacity of 120 people, will depart from Ankara on Friday evening at 21.25:4. The train, which will make a 23.55-hour stop in Karabük/Yeşilyenice on Saturday morning and reach Zonguldak, will start its return journey on Saturday night at 2:5. After 2-hour stops in Çerkeş, 30 hours in Çankırı and 19.02 hours and XNUMX minutes in Kalecik on Sunday for sightseeing purposes, it will arrive in Ankara on the same day at XNUMX:XNUMX.
The last train, which will depart from Ankara on June 13, September 26, October 10, and November 14, 2025, will depart from Zonguldak on November 15, 2025.
