Special Appreciation Award to IETT from UITP

IETT was deemed worthy of the Special Recognition Award by UITP, the world's largest public transport union, for its SÜHA project.

As the largest public transport institution in Türkiye and the second largest in the world in terms of fleet size, trips and number of passengers carried, IETT continues to receive awards at national and international levels.

Finally, the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), which has more than 100 public transport organizations from 1900 different countries including Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, England, Sweden and Norway, was deemed worthy of the Special Recognition Award with its Sustainable Mobility Training Center (SÜHA) project at the UITP Summit event held in Hamburg, Germany.

IETT'S SUHA PROJECT

The educational bus, which was redesigned with simulations and animations, was transformed into a special learning area for students. In addition to public transportation and pedestrian transportation rules, topics such as new generation transportation systems, environmentally friendly fuels, energy saving, sustainable transportation and urban mobility are covered in the bus. Enriched with experiment sets and visual elements, this area offers students an interactive educational experience.

TARGET: 1 MILLION STUDENTS

Since the project was launched, training has been provided to a total of 91 institutions, 112 of which are schools, and 33 students have been reached.

With this project, which sets an example for many different public transportation institutions around the world, IETT aims to reach 1 million students.
