Silence Will Be Maintained During LGS and YKS Exams in Çorum

Çorum Municipality announced that it will suspend all noisy work to ensure silence during the High School Transition System (LGS) exam to be held on Sunday, June 15 and the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) to be held on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22 so that students can focus on their exams.

The Cleaning Department teams will temporarily suspend garbage collection activities during exam hours in order to both prevent noise and ensure a healthier traffic flow in the areas where the exam centers are located. Other municipal units will also suspend their work that may cause noise during exam hours and provide students with a quiet exam environment.

The municipality also made public transportation free of charge to facilitate students’ transportation to exam locations on exam days. All students taking the LGS and YKS exams will be able to use municipal public transportation free of charge by showing their exam entry documents.

In a statement made by Çorum Municipality, citizens residing around the examination centers were asked not to listen to loud music, to refrain from noisy works such as construction or renovation during the examination hours, and not to honk their horns unnecessarily in their vehicles.

The statement included the following: “We believe that all of our fellow citizens will show the necessary sensitivity so that our youth, who are the guarantee of our future, can take the exam in peace on these important days. We wish success to our students who will take the exam.”
