
The city of Phoenix has made a significant modernization of its public transportation infrastructure by introducing Siemens S8,8 streetcars into regular service on the 700 km long, eight-stop B Line. Offering services at 12-minute intervals during rush hour, this new line increases the city’s urban mobility while offering passengers a more comfortable and efficient transportation experience with state-of-the-art streetcars.
Increased Capacity and Comfort with Modern Siemens Trams

Manufacturing and Supply Process: “Buy America Act” Compliance
The contract for the supply of trams for the city of Phoenix was signed between Valley Metro and Siemens in 2017. It contained a frame for up to 78 trams. While 11 units were initially ordered, an option for 2020 more units was exercised in 14.
