Samsun Discovery Campus and Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Discovery Campus, which were established to contribute to the education of young people interested in science and technology in Samsun, had their first graduates. The graduation ceremony was held with the participation of Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan, Canik Municipality Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı, T3 Foundation Board of Directors Chairman and General Manager Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, protocol members, students and families.
Setting out with the aim of raising generations full of science and technology, Samsun Discovery Campus affiliated to Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Discovery Campus affiliated to Canik Municipality gave their first graduates. Within the scope of the project carried out in cooperation with Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and Canik Municipality and with the support of T3 Foundation, students who received training in various workshops for two years experienced the joy of graduation to the fullest.
The graduation ceremony was held with the participation of Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan, Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı and T3 Foundation Board of Directors Chairman and General Manager Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır, protocol members, students and families. “They will have a say in the future”
Speaking at the ceremony, T3 Foundation Board of Directors Chair and General Manager Elvan Kuzucu Hıdır drew attention to the success the campuses have achieved so far and said: “Since the day we were founded, we have reached over 680 thousand students from 280 schools in our Discovery Campuses. We have sprouted the desire to learn in the hearts of thousands of children. Today, we are proud to have graduated 420 of our students. Science is no longer an abstract concept for them; it has become a concrete world they can touch and reach. Each of our students graduating today has the knowledge and skills to have a say in the future of our country, both scientifically and humanly. Congratulations on their graduation.”

Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı also drew attention to the contribution of Discovery Campuses to the development of young generations in his speech and made the following statements: “Today is a very exciting day for all of us. We have always been by the side of our students with our Discovery Campuses. Thanks to these valuable education centers that Teknofest has brought to our city, a generation kneaded with science and technology is growing up. This is a great pride for Samsun. I wish all our students a successful future.”

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan stated that the first graduation ceremony of the Discovery Campuses was a historic start: “Today, we are not only holding a graduation ceremony here; we are also witnessing the coming to life of a vision. You are the pioneers of this path. As the first graduates, you are writing your name in the history of Samsun. Our city and country will rise as we dream. Just like the success our drone teams achieved in Teknofest, you will proudly represent the name of Samsun in national and international arenas. The vision of the Turkish Century will be shaped by these steps taken by you young people. We will always be with you on your science and technology journey,” he said.

Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı touched upon the importance of Discovery Campuses in his speech and congratulated everyone who contributed: “I would like to thank our Discovery Campuses, which were put into practice in order to bring science and technology to wider audiences and to increase interest in this field. I congratulate all our teachers and students who worked on this project.”
The graduation ceremony was enlivened with songs and shows sung by the students. Families celebrated their children's successes enthusiastically. The event ended after the graduation cake was cut by the protocol members.
