Registrations for Summer Sports Schools in Izmir Have Started

Registrations for Izmir Metropolitan Municipality's summer sports schools have begun. The training will begin on Monday, June 23 and continue until Friday, September 5.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s summer sports schools are getting ready to open their doors. In line with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay’s “Sports Capital Izmir” vision, the city’s children and youth will both do sports and have fun. Children and youth will have the opportunity to get acquainted with many branches throughout the summer with the trainings to be organized in 17 different facilities located throughout the city under the roof of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club. In addition to branches such as athletics, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, dance, football, futsal, wrestling, folk dances, judo, canoe, karate, conditioning, table tennis, pilates, healthy living, chess, step-aerobics, water polo, taekwondo, basic movement training, tennis, volleyball, yoga, swimming, basketball trainings will also be provided for individuals with special needs by the coaches affiliated with the club and expert sports instructors serving within the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department.

Sports for everyone, everywhere

Swimming courses for both children and adults will be opened at the Celal Atik Sports Hall Swimming Pool, Izmir Marina, Buca Social Life Campus and Pool Izmir facilities. Free swimming hours for adults will also be included in the program. Bayraklı The “Sports for Everyone” trainings to be organized for citizens over the age of 18 at Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Park, Bornova Pool İzmir and Kültürpark Celal Atik Sports Hall will also be completely free of charge.

Football fields are ready for service

Young people from Izmir, Bayraklı They will be able to benefit from the football trainings to be organized free of charge at Çiçek Carpet Field, Bornova İnönü Neighborhood Football Field, Bornova Meriç Neighborhood Living Football Field, Evka-4 Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Hall and Karabağlar Peker Neighborhood Football Field. Expressing that the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has been carrying out many studies so that children and young people can spend their time in a quality way during the summer season, Youth and Sports Services Department Head Anıl Kaçar invited all children and young people in Izmir to summer sports schools.
