The trainings offered by MERCEK Vocational Training Centers operating under the Social Services Department are planned according to the needs of the labor market. One of these trainings is “Furniture Manufacturing and Assembly” program contributes to female trainees finding jobs in the sector. Emel Tosun and Işık Fatma Yüce, trainees who received training at Tırmıl MERCEK, were employed in a furniture company operating in Mersin after successfully completing the process. The two female masters are successfully working in a business branch that is seen as male-dominated.

Emel Tosun, a mother of two children and a female craftswoman from Mersin who received Furniture Manufacturing and Assembly training, worked at Tırmıl MERCEK for 2 months.
