Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç invited everyone to the Soğanlı and Erdemli valleys, which are among the natural and historical riches of Kayseri and have become even more beautiful with investments. Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We protect the historical heritage, contribute to the survival of nature, make preparations and aim for the heart of tourism to beat in Kayseri.”
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç made statements regarding the projects that strengthen the city's claim in tourism. Stating that the infrastructure, restoration and promotion investments made in Soğanlı and Erdemli Valleys will carry Kayseri among the leading cities in tourism, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, "We are now building not only the past but also the future."
Emphasizing that Soğanlı Valley, located within the borders of Yeşilhisar district, is the gateway to Cappadocia, Mayor Büyükkılıç gave the following information about the comprehensive investments carried out in the valley:
“Soğanlı is the living history of Anatolia, not only with its fairy chimneys, but also with its historical churches, natural beauties and cultural heritage. We have made transportation to the region comfortable by strengthening the road infrastructure and asphalting the roads. With fresco restorations in historical churches, square and landscaping, walking paths and hot air balloon tourism, we have made this place a place you will not only want to see but also live.”
Büyükkılıç, who evaluated the inclusion of Erdemli Valley, along with Soğanlı, into the Cappadocia Area by the Presidential decision as a “historical gain”, stated that the work carried out in cooperation with the Kayseri Governorship, Metropolitan Municipality and Museum Directorate contributed to the cultural memory.

Mayor Büyükkılıç stated that they also attach great importance to promotional activities and said that the kayseri.com.tr tourism portal established by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has become a digital guide for local and foreign visitors. Büyükkılıç said, “We are making Kayseri visible not only in the field but also on the screens. We are strengthening the promotion of the region digitally. We are telling Türkiye and the world about this place.”

Stating that preparations are ongoing for the Türkiye Culture Road Festival, which will be held in Kayseri on September 6–14, 2025, Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that Kayseri is a versatile destination from art to history, from gastronomy to nature.

President Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç invited local and foreign tourists to Kayseri with the beginning of the summer season and noted the following:
