June Home Care Assistance Payments Have Started

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that an average of 540 thousand citizens benefit from the Home Care Assistance, which is provided to provide economic support to fully dependent citizens and their families who are cared for at home, and that a total of 5,4 billion liras of assistance has started to be deposited into accounts this month.

Minister Göktaş reminded that Home Care Assistance, one of the family-oriented care service models offered by the ministry, was initiated in 2006 with the idea of ​​supporting disabled individuals primarily with their families. Göktaş said, “We prioritize providing care for our disabled citizens at home in a way that preserves their family unity. With Home Care Assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by living with their families or relatives without leaving the environment where the disabled live.”

Göktaş stated that a monthly payment of 10 liras is made per beneficiary within the scope of Home Care Assistance, and noted the following:

“An average of 540 thousand citizens benefit from Home Care Assistance every month. We have started to deposit a total of 5,4 billion liras of Home Care Assistance into accounts this month for fully dependent citizens and their families who are cared for at home. I hope that the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens and their families. As the Ministry, we will continue our work to ensure that rights-based social assistance in the field of disability is sustainable with a transparent understanding.”
