Muratpaşa Municipality in Antalya will commemorate the names of Edip Akbayram and Volkan Konak, two important representatives of Turkish music who passed away this year, in two separate parks in the district.
By decision of the City Council, the names of two important figures of Turkish music, Edip Akbayram and Volkan Konak, who passed away in March, were given to two separate parks in Muratpaşa.
The 2028 square meter park, located at the intersection of 2029, 2031, 2033 and 6 streets in Çağlayan Neighborhood, with basketball and football fields, became “Edip Akbayram Park”.
The 52-square-meter park, located at the intersection of Sinem, Gökalp and 2nd streets in Ermenek Neighborhood, with children's playgrounds and sports areas, was named "Son of the North Volkan Konak Park".
