Canadian Government Pledges Full Support for Wildfires

Prime Minister Carney said the government stands ready to provide additional support wherever needed in response to the ongoing wildfires across Canada.

Prime Minister Carney convened the Incident Response Group to discuss all government mandated efforts to combat and assist with evacuations related to the ongoing wildfires across Canada.

“The federal government stands ready to provide additional support wherever needed. Our continued thanks to all first responders and volunteers fighting on the ground to protect our communities,” Carney said, noting that Canadian Armed Forces personnel have been mobilized to assist with the Sandy Lake evacuation in Ontario.
