Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay made an inspection tour to identify and solve the problems of Şirinyer, the heart of Buca. Mayor Tugay, who stated that Beyazıt Aykut Park will be completely renewed and the damaged roads and pavements in the region will be repaired quickly, was met with intense love from the citizens.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay continues to solve the problems of Buca, the largest district of Izmir, one by one in the field. New investments continue to accelerate in Buca, where many works such as the transformation of Buca Hasanağa Garden, road and asphalt renewal works in the Evka-1 region, Üçkuyular Square traffic regulation, Yedigöller Facility, Özmen Street and Fırat Yılmaz Çakıroğlu Park improvements have come to life. Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay recently went to the field in Şirinyer, the busiest point of Buca, and made an inspection. Mayor Tugay was accompanied by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Çağatay Güç, Parks and Gardens Department Head Halit Çelik, and Technical Services Department Head Sercan Kahya.
Inspection of Beyazıt Aykut Park
Mayor Tugay's first visit during his tour of Şirinyer was Beyazıt Aykut Park, located at the intersection of Menderes Street and Mehmet Akif Street. Mayor Tugay examined the deficiencies of the park, which is located right in the middle of the bus stop, İZBAN station and business centers, and listened to the complaints and demands of the people of Buca regarding the park. He gave the good news that they will make arrangements for the more effective and safe use of the park by the public.
It will be safer, cleaner and more comfortable
As part of the renovation works to be carried out by the Department of Parks and Gardens, the seating areas and hard ground of Beyazıt Aykut Park will be renewed. The lighting of the park will be increased, and the idle pool in the area will be restored and activated. After the cleaning and arrangement of the surroundings, a toilet will be placed in the park. Landscaping will be done in the green areas.
Şirinyer's roads and pavements are being renewed
After Beyazıt Aykut Park, President Tugay also inspected 504 Street, Mehmet Akif and Menderes Streets, and said that roads and sidewalks would be repaired, narrow sidewalks would be widened, and teams would begin work to arrange the roads for vehicle passage.
Supported the hanging bread application
President Tugay chatted with tradesmen and citizens of Şirinyer as part of the field tour. President Tugay, who received messages of support from the people of Buca for the arrangements that were put into effect in a short time, visited the bakery in the region and supported the suspended bread application. President Tugay, who listened to the demands of the residents of the region, said, “We will solve all the problems step by step.”
