President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced that a contract was signed between Indonesia and TUSAŞ for the export of the KAAN 5th generation fighter jet.
Görgün, who stated that a very important agreement was signed for Turkey at the INDO Defense Fair held in Jakarta, Indonesia, said, “Today, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and TUSAŞ signed a contract for the export of the KAAN 5th generation fighter jet. Our National Combat Aircraft KAAN, produced in Türkiye, will be offered to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense in an initial 48 units and an additional 12 units. All deliveries are planned to be made within 84 months.”
Haluk Görgün, emphasizing that Türkiye is among the countries with the highest number of participants at this fair, said, “With all our activities, we share the subsystems, platforms, ammunition, electronic systems, software, hardware, and all the solutions we produce in the Defense Industry with friendly and allied countries. We have many projects that we carry out together with Indonesia in the land, sea and air fields.”
Noting that products developed by Turkish industry are available in 180 countries around the world, Görgün said in his statement, “The diversity of systems used is increasing day by day. We completed last year with $7.1 billion worth of export deliveries. We signed new contracts worth $10 billion. It seems that 2025 will be better than this in terms of both deliveries and the contracts we signed. We are experiencing the happiness of the agreement we signed today. May it be beneficial for our country.”
