Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that Afyon Pastrami received a geographical indication registration from the European Union. Thus, Afyon Pastrami became the 34th Turkish product registered by the EU.
Minister Yumaklı stated in his statement that Afyon Pastrami, which stands out with its unique aroma, will now be recognized on European tables, and that this development adds value to Türkiye's local products in the international arena.
Expressing his satisfaction with Afyonkarahisar's culinary heritage being registered in Europe, Yumaklı concluded his statement with the words "Congratulations".
