According to the statement made by the Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, a total of 2 migrant smuggling organizers, 15 of whom were foreign nationals, and 446 irregular migrants were caught in the inspections carried out throughout the country against migrant smuggling organizers and irregular migration.
Scope and Details of the Operation
Under the coordination of the Directorate of Immigration Administration, extensive inspections were carried out by the General Directorate of Security, the General Command of Gendarmerie and the Coast Guard Command within the scope of the fight against irregular migration and migrant smugglers. Critical points such as abandoned places, public entertainment venues, truck garages, terminals, ports, public transportation stops and stations were targeted.
In these inspections;
