In line with the importance that Muğla Metropolitan Municipality attaches to culture and art, 77 percent of the Milas Cultural Center, which is currently under construction, has been completed.
Continuing its investments in culture and art without slowing down, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality will bring a new breath to the region's culture and art life with the Culture Center it will bring to Milas. 6 percent of the Milas Culture Center, which was built on a total area of 544 square meters, has been completed.
Milas Cultural Center Will Bring a New Breath to the Regional Culture
Milas Cultural Center, which has a total construction area of 6 square meters, includes a main hall with a capacity of 544 people, a seminar hall with a capacity of 455 people, workshops suitable for cultural and artistic activities such as chess, painting, music and dance, and open and closed parking areas. With the completion of the center, it is aimed to bring a new breath to the cultural life of the region and to make a significant contribution to social life.
Officer Göncü: “The Building Will Meet Its Energy Needs from Solar Energy”
Vahit Erkin Göncü, a Surveying Engineer working at the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Department of Technical Affairs, said, “In line with the importance given to culture and art by our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Ahmet Aras, the construction of the Milas Cultural Center continues at full speed. The center will also include an open city stage that will host outdoor activities. The energy needs of the building are met by a 160 kW solar energy system installed on its roof. In addition, the water collected through rainwater harvesting is being evaluated for reuse in reservoir systems and garden irrigation. The physical realization rate of the building has reached 77 percent, and it is planned to be completed and put into service for the public as soon as possible.”
