The countdown has begun for the 17th Sekapark Altın Kemer Oil Wrestling, organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The oil wrestling, in which over 1.600 wrestlers will compete, will take place on June 13-14-15 at the İzmit Athletics Track.
COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED FOR THE GIANT PROGRAM
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which attaches importance to every branch of sports in line with its vision of 'Kocaeli, the Capital of Sports', is hosting another important sports activity nationwide. The countdown has begun for the 17th Sekapark Altın Kemer Oil Wrestling, traditionally organized by the Metropolitan Municipality every year. This magnificent organization, which will bring together Türkiye's valuable wrestlers in our ancestral sport of oil wrestling, one of the most important and deep-rooted branches of Turkish sports culture, will be held on June 13-14-15, 2025 at the İzmit Athletics Track. This year, the giant organization will be organized in the name of our champion wrestler Ramiz Kahveciler, known as the 'Teacher of Teachers'.
SEKAPARK STAGE IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR WRESTLERS
The works for the important organization, which will bring together more than 1.600 wrestlers along with Türkiye's valuable wrestlers, organized by the Department of Youth and Sports Services, are continuing at full speed. The 7th Sekapark Altın Kemer Oil Wrestling will be held as the 2025rd organization of the 17 CW Enerji Turkey Oil Wrestling League, which is organized by the Turkish Traditional Wrestling Federation and consists of 3 organizations. The wrestlers who rank in the top 64 in their own sizes in the Turkey Oil Wrestling League will earn the right to directly participate in the Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling. On the other hand, the Sekapark stage, where the first place winners will be given an extra 3 points, will be of particular importance for the wrestlers.
WRESTLERS WILL COMPETE FOR THE GOLDEN BELT
Before the 664th Historical Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling, the wrestlers will go out on the meadow and compete fiercely in the 17th Sekapark Altın Kemer Oil Wrestling where the most ambitious wrestlers of Türkiye will join arms and wrestle as symbols of bravery, courage and valor. The champion head wrestler will be the owner of a specially prepared golden belt decorated with motifs specific to Sekapark Altın Kemer Oil Wrestling and Kocaeli. Thousands of wrestling fans from all over Türkiye will come to Kocaeli and enjoy watching the breathtaking fights. In addition to the wrestlers who will display their strength and techniques in 14 different sizes, the head wrestlers will also sweat in the field.
