FBC: Firebreak Prepares for Technical Testing

Preparing to offer a brand new multiplayer experience in the beloved Control universe, Remedy Entertainment's new game FBC: Firebreak has begun the countdown to its first closed technical test. The game's developer, Remedy, has launched the official registration process for players who want to participate in the testing process, which will be held on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

FBC: Firebreak Technical Test Begins May 15

FBC: Firebreak’s highly anticipated closed technical testing will begin on Thursday, May 15 at 16.00:19 PM and continue until Monday, May 00.00 at midnight. This limited-time test will give players an early taste of the three-player co-op (PvE) action experience set in familiar locations from the Control universe. Remedy Entertainment aims to shape the final version of the game with valuable player feedback from this testing period.

Registrations for Technical Tests Continue

Players who wish to participate in this exciting technical test version of FBC: Firebreak can register via Remedy Entertainment’s official website. While the registration process is ongoing, the development team will begin sending out test access information to selected players in the coming days.

Full Version Coming in June

The full game is scheduled to be released on June 17. Firebreak will be available for both PC and console users, and will be included with Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscriptions, meaning it will be easily accessible to a wide range of players.

Remedy Launches Short Session-Focused Multiplayer Experience

The game’s development team believes that Firebreak will have a unique and different place in the existing co-op (PvE) market. Remedy’s Thomas Puha explained the game’s design philosophy by saying, “We clearly defined our target audience when creating this game. We based every decision on creating an easily accessible structure based on short sessions that would not be a burden to players.” This approach aims to provide a fast and enjoyable multiplayer experience that players can easily fit into their busy schedules.

Pricing and Early Access Opportunity

When the full version of FBC: Firebreak is released, it will cost £33 in the UK, $40 in the US and €40 in Europe. For those who want to get their hands on the game early by participating in the technical testing process, signing up this week is a great opportunity to both return to the Control universe and take your first steps into a new multiplayer experience.
