Intensive Work at T7 Tunnel: 50 Percent Progress in Excavation Works
President Çolakbayrakdar closely followed the ongoing works at the entrance of the T7 tunnel in Himmetdede Neighborhood within the borders of Kocasinan. President Çolakbayrakdar, who received detailed information from the authorities at the construction site, observed that the works were being carried out meticulously. In his statement here, President Çolakbayrakdar stated that they were at the entrance point of the T7 tunnel, which is an important part of the Ankara-Kayseri line, and that the exit point of the tunnel was located in Kalkancık Neighborhood. Emphasizing that the works continued uninterruptedly on both the entrance and exit sides of this gigantic tunnel, which is approximately 3 kilometers long, President Çolakbayrakdar said that more than a thousand vehicles and equipment and more than two thousand personnel were on duty along the route. Underlining that an extremely intensive and coordinated work was being carried out, President Çolakbayrakdar announced the good news that 50% of the excavation and earthworks on the line were reached and 25% progress was made in tunnel construction. President Çolakbayrakdar said, “Hopefully, when it is completed without any accidents or troubles, high-speed train services will start between Ankara and Kayseri. The days when our fellow citizens will have fast and comfortable transportation are approaching. Let's share this good news here.”
The Importance of the Project was Emphasized in Kalkancık: Step by Step Towards the Goal
President Çolakbayrakdar also made examinations in Kalkancık Neighborhood, which is the exit point of the T7 tunnel approximately 3 kilometers later, and evaluated the general progress of the project. President Çolakbayrakdar, who drew attention to the strategic importance of the project in his statement here, said, “We are currently at the exit point of the T7 tunnel in the Kayseri direction. With the completion of the T8 and T9 tunnels in the next stage, our line will reach Kayseri and reach its final goal. The work here continues on a 24-hour basis. Regardless of summer or winter, as long as the weather conditions are suitable, the teams work day and night with great devotion. This project is being implemented in order for our fellow citizens of Kayseri to have a modern, fast and comfortable transportation system. We thank everyone who contributed.
