
Near East University and Yıldız Technical University, two long-established and respected institutions of Turkish higher education, have signed an important cooperation protocol in the fields of science, technology and entrepreneurship. Signed by Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Yıldız Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, this strategic partnership aims to strengthen academic ties between the two universities, develop joint research projects and implement student and academician exchange programs.
Yıldız Technical University Vice Rector for Research and Planning Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz, Yıldız Teknopark Corporate Communications Manager Naim Güleç and Yıldız Technology Transfer Office General Manager Dr. Selim Serkan Say were also present at the signing ceremony hosted by the Near East University. Common Platforms Will Be Created in Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship

Yıldız Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, in his speech, drew attention to the strong historical and cultural ties between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and said, “We are very pleased to establish a new bridge in the academic field with our sister country, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. This cooperation with the Near East University means the unification of the scientific power of both universities as well as Turkey and the TRNC. The joint projects that our students and academics will carry out within this framework will carry both our universities and our countries further.” Prof. Dr. Debik emphasized that he believes this cooperation will make significant contributions to the scientific and technological development of both countries.
