Samsun-Sarp High Speed ​​Railway Project Will Be 509 Kilometers

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his speech at the AK Party Trabzon Provincial Advisory Council Meeting, provided information about important projects that will strengthen Trabzon's transport and communication infrastructure. Minister Uraloğlu said that they are working on a new project that will remove the transmitter antennas in Boztepe, which spoil the visuality of Trabzon, and that the Light Rail System Project has been included in the investment program. Samsun-Sarp High Speed ​​Railway Project'will be 509 kilometers and announced that the work on the Trabzon Southern Ring Road is continuing.   

Continue to Serve Trabzon

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that they will continue to serve Trabzon under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and stated that they are trying to provide all kinds of services that Trabzon needs with the ministers, metropolitan mayors, provincial heads and other officials who served in the previous term.

Completed and Ongoing Highway Projects

Recalling many services implemented in Trabzon, Minister Uraloğlu said, “In 2005, we completed the Tangent Road, the story of the years. We opened it in Atapark. When we came to power, there was a 30 percent completion in the Black Sea Coastal Road. We were lucky enough to complete it in 2007.” He stated that significant progress had also been made in Kanuni Boulevard and that the Göztepe Tunnel had been connected to the Binbirevler Junction.

Minister Uraloğlu, who also provided information about the works on the Trabzon Southern Beltway, said, “We continue to work in 16 tunnels in the 8-kilometer section. We have finished every job we started. May Allahu ta'ala grant us the chance to finish this job as well.” He also noted that works are continuing on many projects such as Of-Çaykara, Özdil Road, Akçaabat-Düzköy Road, Vakıfkebir OSB Road.

Light Rail System Project in Investment Program

Minister Uraloğlu, who also provided information about the railway works, announced that the Light Rail System Project, which will extend from Akçaabat to Yomra, was included in the investment program with the approval of President Erdoğan and the project works have been initiated. “Our goal is to complete the project work this year. We aim to hold the tender for the first phase next year,” he said.   

Samsun-Sarp High Speed ​​Railway Project

Minister Uraloğlu stated that various projects and feasibility studies are continuing within the scope of the Samsun-Sarp High-Speed ​​Railway Project and said, “We are carrying out the work on the project from Samsun to Sarp and covering the coastal areas of Ordu, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize and Artvin. “We plan to put the project into practice after completing its work. It will serve to carry both passengers and freight on a 509-kilometer line,” he said.   

Trabzon Airport's Capacity is Being Increased

Minister Uraloğlu, who stated that Trabzon Airport is among the top 58 airports among 10 in Türkiye, said that the number of passengers last year exceeded the capacity with 3.6 million. He noted that the capacity was increased with the arrangements made at the current airport and that a new airport project with a capacity of 10 million passengers per year was being worked on.

New Project for Transmitter Antennas in Boztepe

Minister Uraloğlu stated that many works were carried out from the construction to the repair of fishing shelters and said that they will continue to establish base stations in the field of communication. He also announced that they are working on a new project that will eliminate the transmitter antennas that spoil the visual appearance in Boztepe and will suit Trabzon.   

It is a duty to serve

Minister Uraloğlu, who emphasized that serving is a duty, said that the most valuable thing is to be able to touch the shoulders of the citizens and to enter their hearts. Stating that they will work to gain a place in everyone's hearts as an organization and listen to the citizens, he said, "We will set out with this motive. Our duty is to go on an expedition, victory belongs to Allah."
