Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç visited the grave of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a terrible knife attack in Istanbul a few months ago, and met with his grieving family.
Following this tragic event that deeply saddened Türkiye, President Genç had previously called Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi's mother, Yasemin Minguzzi, to offer his condolences and share her pain. President Genç visited Mattia Ahmet's grave in Istanbul Bakırköy Osmaniye Cemetery and met with mother Yasemin and father Andrea Minguzzi.
President Genç, who conveyed his condolences to the grieving family face to face, prayed at the graveside. During the visit, President Genç presented a meaningful gift to the family in order to keep the memory of Mattia Ahmet, who passed away at a young age, alive. President Genç, who gave the family a Trabzonspor jersey signed by the Trabzonspor Club technical staff and players, with Ahmet's photo and name written on it, expressed that he shared the family's pain and that Mattia Ahmet's memory would live on.
