The Unique Nature and Importance of Sultan Marshes

Sultan Marshes, which hosts 301 different bird species and offers great richness in terms of biodiversity, stands out as one of the most important natural heritages of Kayseri. Located on the migration route of thousands of birds every year and especially the scene of the enchanting dance of flamingos, this special region is gaining the value it deserves with the efforts to increase its tourism potential under the visionary leadership of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç.

Creating an Attractive Destination for Nature Lovers

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is implementing important projects in line with the goal of creating an attractive destination for nature lovers by protecting and promoting the natural beauties of Sultan Marshes. In this context, the Technical Maintenance and Repair Branch Directorate teams affiliated to the Department of Business and Subsidiaries are reconstructing the existing 600-meter walking path in accordance with the natural texture so that visitors can explore the region more closely and comfortably.

Natural Texture is Preserved with Wooden Road

The wooden road construction works, which are carried out meticulously by taking into account the delicate ecological balance of the reed area, aim to provide visitors with a safe and enjoyable tour opportunity without damaging the natural texture of the region. The choice of wooden materials both adapts to the natural appearance and coincides with the principle of protecting the ecological structure of the region.
