Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) brings together Istanbulites who want to donate sacrifices and those in need through the Istanbul Foundation this year. In the process carried out and monitored by the Istanbul Foundation, the slaughtering process of donors whose power of attorney is taken begins on the first day of the holiday. The cutting ends in the evening of the 1rd day of the holiday.
TSE CERTIFIED, NOTARY AND VETERINARY INSPECTED SLAUGHTERING
The slaughtering will be carried out by a company with a TSE-approved halal slaughtering certificate, as is the case every year. The sacrificial meat will be canned within 1 week after the slaughtering process. The distribution of the canned food, which has an 18-month shelf life, will be carried out by the IMM Social Services Department. All slaughtering will be carried out under the supervision of a notary, veterinary inspection, accompanied by a religious official, with the names of each donor being read, and recorded on camera, as is the case every year.
SHARE PRICE AND DISTRIBUTION DETAILS
The amount of each donation and the number of donors will be published transparently on the relevant page of the Istanbul Foundation. 5 MILLION FAMILIES REACHED IN 1 YEARS
Within the scope of the Sacrifice Donation campaign carried out by the Istanbul Foundation, 5 different products, including canned meat, bone marrow broth, tripe and trotter soup, were delivered to families in need in the last 4 years. Thus, 5 million families were reached in 1 years.
