The work carried out by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality to strengthen the environmentally friendly transportation infrastructure in the city continues rapidly. In this context, fast charging stations established at two points in the city center for electric vehicles have started to provide service.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented various projects to increase the use of renewable energy sources within the scope of the sustainability principle, continues to take new steps in urban transportation in line with this purpose. Finally, within the scope of the works to strengthen the environmentally friendly transportation infrastructure in the city by SAMULAŞ A.Ş., a subsidiary of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, 2 60 kW DC fast charging stations for electric vehicles were installed in Çobanlı Parking Lot and District Public Transportation Transfer Center Parking Lot. Thanks to the new generation charging stations that have started to provide service, electric vehicle owners will be able to charge their vehicles in a short time and with high efficiency.
On the other hand, the new generation charging stations installed offer high power (usually up to 60 kW capacity) DC fast charging support and up to 30% charging in suitable vehicles in less than 80 minutes. The system provides a user-friendly experience with its 7-inch touch screen. The charging process can be easily managed with QR code payment and mobile application support. It provides an advanced protection system against overcurrent, short circuit, insulation failure and overheating during charging. Electric vehicle charging stations also have the feature of being domestically produced.
While it was stated that SAMULAŞ A.Ş. continues its efforts to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations, it was stated that infrastructure investments that will encourage the use of electric vehicles throughout the city are planned to continue.
