Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek inspected the İncesu Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) junction line construction site and received detailed information about the progress of the project. Governor Çiçek drew attention to the great importance of the project for Kayseri and the country's economy.
Direct Railway Connection to Ports Will Be a Lifeline for the Economy
Governor Çiçek, in his statement about the project, said, “This line, which will deliver the products of all industrial establishments in İncesu OSB and Kayseri to important ports such as İskenderun, Mersin, and Samsun, which have direct railway connections, will be a lifeline for both our province’s economy and our country’s economy.” Thanks to this connection, it is expected that industrialists’ logistics costs will decrease and their competitiveness will increase.
Infrastructure will be made by OSB, Superstructure will be made by TCDD
Governor Çiçek, who stated that this strategic line, which is expected to make significant contributions to the Kayseri economy, will also facilitate the work of industrialists, emphasized that the project is being carried out in cooperation. Çiçek said, “The infrastructure work of this important line, which will be built on an area of 170 thousand square meters, will be carried out by the İncesu Organized Industrial Zone, while the superstructure work will be carried out by the Turkish Republic State Railways (TCDD).” İncesu OSB Board Chairman İrfan Püsküllü and board members also accompanied Governor Çiçek on his inspection visit.
