
In an event organized to raise traffic awareness in Şırnak, students “Mobile Traffic Training Truck” and “Seat Belt Simulation Vehicle” Applied traffic training was given with. Students from central and surrounding schools showed great interest in the event held in Cumhuriyet Square by Şırnak Provincial Police Department Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch Directorate teams.
Awareness Raised with Seat Belt Simulation
While practical traffic rules were explained to students and citizens participating in the event in the Mobile Traffic Education Truck, practical training was provided especially to high school students and teachers with the Seat Belt Simulation Vehicle. Thanks to this simulation vehicle, the life-saving importance of seat belts in a possible accident was once again concretely reminded.
Deputy Director of Traffic Registration and Inspection Department, Commissioner Metin Bektaş, was sent to Şırnak from the Traffic Presidency of the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The “Seat Belt Simulation Vehicle” will be open to citizens in the Republic Square for two days. Bektaş said, “In many traffic accidents that occur in our province and our country, wearing a seat belt prevents accidents with injuries. It is important that we wear a seat belt. We invite all our citizens to experience our vehicle for two days.”

Şırnak High School Music Teacher Hacı Tanı stated that the students who participated in the event had the opportunity to experience the importance of seat belts in practice. Tanı said, “We showed our Şırnak High School students how to use seat belts in practice. With the support of our traffic police, we brought our students to the ‘Mobile Traffic Education Truck’. The students got on the practical training vehicle and experienced it. We learned how important seat belts really are in a better way thanks to this.”
This type of practical training is of great importance in terms of establishing traffic awareness and safe driving habits, especially in young individuals.
