Special Trainings for EGO Personnel
In order for the vehicles to operate effectively and safely, EGO personnel are provided with comprehensive technical and driving training. This training aims to enable drivers to specialize in maintenance, fault management and efficient use of the vehicles.
Three Determined Routes
Feasibility studies are ongoing for the three routes planned to be served by the new metrobuses. The determined routes are as follows:
- Yenikent – Ulus – Karapürçek
- Yıldırım Beyazıt University – Protocol Road – Konya Road – Ankara University (Gölbaşı Campus)
- Yıldırım Beyazıt University – Ovacık Neighborhood – Etlik Street – Ankara University (Gölbaşı Campus)
In addition, one metrobus is currently being used on the boulevards and streets of Ankara for test purposes to gain driving and route experience.
Although no exact date has been given for when the metrobus services will start, the ongoing tender process and the start of test drives signal that it will be put into service soon.
