2nd Youth Festival Celebrated with Colorful Events in Bursa

The '19nd Youth Festival' organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of May 2th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day celebrations started with entertaining activities with intense participation of young people at Hüdavendigar City Park. Bursa youth, who participated in various sports tournaments and creative workshops throughout the day, also had fun with the 'Genç Sahne' concerts in the evening and experienced the joy of the holiday to the fullest.

Fun-Filled Moments on the First Day of the Festival

The excitement of the 19th of May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day reached its peak with the 2nd Youth Festival held at the Hüdavendigar City Park in Bursa. On the first day of the two-day festival, young people came together in a way befitting the meaning and importance of the holiday and had fun with various activities. Bursa residents who toured the festival area took a journey into the past at the painting exhibition themed 'Memory of 19th of May' and immortalized this special day in the 'Smile Bursa' and 360-degree photography areas. The young people who wrote their thoughts on the idea wall and demonstrated their talents in the karaoke area were filled with laughter with retro games, live table football, sumo wrestling and arcade games.

Talents Showcased with Sports and Workshop Activities

While exciting moments were experienced in the rodeo area set up in the festival area, young people had the opportunity to showcase their talents in different sports such as shooting skills, giant jenga, table tennis and ice hockey. Young people who traveled to virtual worlds with VR glasses showed their creativity in the 3D pen drawing workshop. Young people who participated in various workshop activities such as airplane launch pad, wood printing, coding game, rocket launch and friendship bracelet workshop developed their manual skills and had the opportunity to acquire new hobbies. Young people who participated in tennis, mini football, pickleball, basketball and volleyball tournaments both had fun and competed fiercely throughout the day.

Musical Feast at 'Young Stage'

The 'Genç Sahne' set up on the first day of the festival hosted young talents. The youth, who were thrilled with the performances of Yiğit Tayar, Şevval Yüksel and Nursel Çağlar Anatolian High School Orchestra, also had a day full of music with DJ performances. The enjoyable talk on theatre by Bursa City Theatres General Art Director Ali Düşenkalkar and theatre artist Altuğ Görgü and the 'Dead Poets Society' film screening that followed attracted great interest from the participants.

Transportation Free and Additional Trips

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality has made an important decision to ensure citizens can easily reach events on the occasion of the 19th of May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. Transportation will be free of charge on BursaRay, trams and buses until 19:23.59 on Monday, 19th of May by using BursaKart. In addition, while participation in the events at Hüdavendigar City Park is expected to be high, BursaRay services have been extended until 20:01.00 on the night connecting 18th to 19th of May in order to facilitate citizens’ return. In addition, free shuttle services are also being organized between Acemler and Hüdavendigar City Park between 12.00:23.30 and 23.30:XNUMX on Sundays and Mondays, XNUMX-XNUMXth of May.
