Hyundai Motor Turkey brought to life children’s dreams of vehicles that will solve world problems with the painting competition it organized for the first time this year as part of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. In the competition, which was opened to all primary and secondary school students in Kocaeli with the theme of “Vehicles That Heal the World”, it also evaluated and rewarded special education students by considering equal opportunities. Hyundai Motor Turkey offered children the opportunity to dream of sustainable, innovative and better world-enabling transportation solutions.
In the competition where over 100 applications were made, the students who were successful were given 3D printed models of their own drawings and various prizes. All students who attended the award ceremony were given participation certificates and surprise gifts.
Kocaeli Deputy Governor Aslan Avşarbey, İzmit District Governor Yusuf Ziya Çelikkaya, provincial protocol, Hyundai managers, teachers, families and students attended the award ceremony held at Hyundai Motor Türkiye's factory in İzmit. The paintings and 3D models exhibited at the ceremony attracted great attention.
Hyundai Motor Turkey CEO YongJin Alex Kim said the following in his speech at the ceremony; “It was a great source of inspiration for us to share the imagination of our children with this competition and to see the vehicles that improve the world through their eyes. Each picture contains promising ideas for a more livable world. I wholeheartedly congratulate all the children who participated in the competition.”
Hyundai Motor Turkey sees this project not only as a competition, but also as a social responsibility project that offers children a place to dream, produce and make a difference. Hyundai Motor Turkey aims to organize the painting competition on a wider scale across Turkey starting in 2026 and to ensure that more children are involved in this creative process.
