Development Move in Agriculture and Transportation in Ordu

The works initiated under the leadership of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler and aiming to develop the city in agriculture, animal husbandry and production as a whole continue to bear fruit. In this context, a protocol signing ceremony was held for four important projects prepared by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the 2025 investment program and supported by the Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (DOKAP).

80,7 Million TL Support from DOKAP for 55,3 Million TL Investment

With the protocol signed by Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler and DOKAP President Hakan Gültekin, DOKAP will provide significant support of 80,7 million TL to projects with a total budget of 55,3 million TL. Expressing his satisfaction with this cooperation made to prepare the city for the future, Mayor Güler said, “May these investments be beneficial to Ordu in advance.”

Important Steps Will Be Taken in Agriculture, Livestock and Transportation

Four important projects to be implemented within the scope of the signed protocol will initiate a significant transformation in Ordu's agriculture, animal husbandry, infrastructure and transportation areas. These projects aim to increase the city's production capacity, increase efficiency and improve the quality of life of citizens.

Meyvalı, Külekçili and Ceyhanlı Irrigation Project: With this project, a total of 3.564 decares of agricultural land will be brought together with modern irrigation systems, and agricultural productivity will be significantly increased.

Slaughterhouse Modernization Project: The infrastructure of the existing slaughterhouse will be renewed with state-of-the-art equipment that raises hygiene standards and increases efficiency.

Breeding Heifer Breeding Center: Through this center, a sustainable and high-quality production infrastructure will be provided to the livestock sector and a contribution will be made to the development of livestock in the region.

Akkuş-Salman-Çaldırı Road Project: With this important transportation project, the road between Akkuş, Salman and Çaldırı will be made safer, more comfortable and modern, and transportation opportunities for the local people will be improved.
