Led by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, “Trabzon Promotion Days” is being organized in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to promote the city’s unique cultural, historical and touristic riches internationally. This important event, which will be held between April 23-27, aims to increase Trabzon’s global awareness and establish new collaborations. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç stated that this initiative is a major step towards the promotion of the city, and said, “We are taking another important step towards introducing our city to the world.”
It Will Start with a Presentation Reception in Doha
The delegation, which will fly directly from Trabzon to Doha for the event supported by the Trabzon Governorate, Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eastern Black Sea Development Agency and Trabzon Associations Federation, will attend a special introductory reception to be held at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Doha on the first day. At this reception, Qatar's leading protocol members, business world representatives, diplomats and special guests will come together. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç and important figures in the tourism sector will convey the unique tourism potential of Trabzon to the Qatari guests with speeches they will make here. In addition, the distinguished flavors of Trabzon cuisine will be served at this special meeting and the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mehter Band will give an impressive concert.
Tourism and Investment Opportunities Move to Qatar
On the second day of the event, the official opening of the Trabzon Promotion Days will be held. Visual and written materials that introduce Trabzon in every aspect will be exhibited at the stands to be set up. Short films reflecting the natural beauties and cultural heritage of Trabzon will be shown to visitors. The energetic shows of the Horon team and the enthusiastic marches of the Janissary band will also add color to the event. In the meetings of professionals from tourism and different sectors to be organized within the scope of the promotion days, business meetings between companies will be held and the foundations of potential business partnerships will be laid. During the four-day event, the attractive opportunities of Trabzon in tourism and investment will be explained in detail to Qatari visitors and investors, and invitations will be made to Trabzon.
