Ordu's 'Super Grandmother' Became Our Pride in Europe

The determined and successful athlete of Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, Sevgican Yalçın, known with the nickname 'Super Grandmother', has become the pride of Ordu and Türkiye in the international arena. Despite her advancing age, Sevgican Yalçın, who continues her sports life under the roof of the Metropolitan Municipality, won 16rd place in Europe in the European Taekwondo Poomsea Championship held in Estonia on April 17-3.

Represented Türkiye in Estonia

Sevgican Yalçın, who represented Türkiye in the 61+ age group at the European Taekwondo Poomsea Championship organized by the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, drew attention with her outstanding performance. Competing fiercely with her opponents, the 'Super Grandmother' took her place among the best in Europe with her determination and talent.

Silver Missed in the Last Seconds, Bronze Medal Came to Ordu

Sevgican Yalçın, who achieved great success in the championship, despite losing the silver medal unfortunately in the last seconds, won the bronze medal by achieving 3rd place in Europe.
