
The Turkish World Children's Festival, organized under the leadership of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, started with a magnificent march. The event, which started on Monday, April 21 and will last for three days, will bring the joy of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day in Samsun to its peak. Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan said, "We are happy to host the Turkish World in Samsun, the city of Atatürk and the city of the War of Independence. Today, we are declaring once again that Samsun is the meeting place of the Turkish World."
A Meaningful Event Brought to Life Through Collaboration
Hosted by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and brought to life with the valuable collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Samsun Governorship, Turkish World Research Foundation, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Yunus Emre Institute, the Turkish World Children's Festival brings the excitement of April 23 to a different dimension in Samsun.
Festival Fire Burned with Enthusiastic March
The first day of the festival, which brought the Turkish World together in Samsun, began with an enthusiastic march. Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Deputy Chairman and Samsun MP İlyas Topsakal, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan, Samsun Chief Public Prosecutor Mehmet Sabri Kılıç, Samsun Provincial Director of National Education Murat Ağar, representatives of various institutions and organizations, many citizens and guests from different countries participated in this meaningful march. The procession, which started from the DSİ campus on İstiklal Avenue, proceeded to the Honor Monument accompanied by enthusiasm and displays of love. The official opening of the Turkish World Children's Festival was held with a ceremony held in front of the monument.

Mayor Doğan: “Samsun is the Meeting City of the Turkish World”
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan said, “In November, we hosted our youth from the Turkish World in Samsun. We had stated back then that we would make Samsun the meeting point of the Turkish World. Today, as the second step of this, we are hosting children from many countries in Samsun before the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, which was presented to children by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in the presence of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We are very happy to host the Turkish World in our city, Samsun, where the first step in the struggle for independence was taken, in order to experience and make others experience April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day in a completely different way. Today, while experiencing the cultural richness of the Turkish World here, we also feel the brotherhood and unity of the Turkish World once again. Today, we declare once again that Samsun is the meeting point of the Turkish World. Today, we are all living the spirit of April 23 here together. This festival is the April 23 National Day, presented to all children of the world by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. "It is a frame that reflects the spirit of Sovereignty and Children's Day in the most beautiful way. Children of the world come together in our city where the torch of independence burns. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful festival from the bottom of my heart," he said.
A Full Program That Will Last for Three Days
The festival, which will be held with the participation of children from 9 different countries, will host colorful events for three days. On the second day of the festival, children from the Turkish World countries will perform traditional folk dances at Bulvar AVM Square. On the last day of the festival, which is April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the April 23 Official Ceremony will be held at Mustafa Dağıstanlı Sports Hall. The finale of the festival will be held with the April 23 Children's Festival to be held at Tütün İskelesi. With this special festival, all participants, especially children, will experience the joy of the holiday to the fullest and the bonds of brotherhood will be strengthened with a cultural meeting.
