Detention in Samsun Landslide Disaster: Investigation Deepens

An important development has occurred within the scope of the investigation launched after a father and his two daughters lost their lives in a tragic landslide disaster at a gas station in the Canik district of Samsun. In the investigation conducted by the Samsun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the responsible manager of the gas station, KY, was caught and detained upon the detention warrant issued against him.

Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Deepens Investigation

The Samsun Public Prosecutor's Office took immediate action following the incident and assigned a Deputy Public Prosecutor and a Public Prosecutor to conduct the investigation meticulously. This assignment aims to shed light on all aspects of the incident and identify those responsible. Painful Losses and the Wounded Mother

The landslide occurred in a car wash area near a shopping mall on the Samsun-Ordu highway. The rocks that fell as a result of the landslide that occurred during the night fell on the four-person Kaya family who were washing their car. In the disaster, 35-year-old father Adem Kaya and his children, 7-year-old Ayla Kaya and 5-year-old Açelya Lina Kaya lost their lives. The family's 31-year-old mother Çiğdem Kaya was rescued with serious injuries and is being treated at the Samsun Education and Research Hospital.

The Bodies Will Be Buried

The bodies of the deceased father and his two daughters were delivered to their families after the autopsy procedures were completed at the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency. It was learned that the bodies of the Kaya family, who suffered a painful loss, will be laid to rest in the Akçaykaracalı Neighborhood of the Terme district in the afternoon. This tragic event caused great sorrow in the region.
