Russia Delivers New Su-34 Fighter Jets to Air Force

Russian state-owned company Rostec has announced the delivery of a new batch of Su-34 fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The number of aircraft delivered was not disclosed, but it appears the shipment is part of Russia’s efforts to bolster its air force. The previous Su-34 delivery was made last November.

Statement from Rostec CEO

Commenting on the delivery, Vadim Badekha, CEO of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec, said: “One of the main areas of UAC’s work is the production of effective combat systems, which are in high demand, given the air defense system. UAC enterprises strictly fulfill their obligations within the framework of the state defense order. Our aircraft demonstrate their advantages in real combat conditions. Of course, we are proud of this. Production of one of the most popular aircraft, the Su-34 ‘front-line bomber’, has more than doubled in two years.” Badekha’s statements emphasize the strategic importance of the Su-34 for the Russian army and the increase in its production.

Su-35S Delivery Was Made in March

Rostec had previously announced that a new batch of fighter jets had been delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces at the end of March, prior to the Su-34 delivery. It was stated that these aircraft were Su-4S fighter jets, known as the 35++ generation, and that they would be the first batch of fighter jets to be delivered to the troops in 2025.

Delivery Process

It is stated that all aircraft delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces go through a meticulous process before being shipped. First, the aircraft successfully complete factory tests, then are examined in detail by technical teams and accepted. In the final stage, after being extensively tested by Russian Ministry of Defense pilots in various simulations and flight scenarios, they are sent to the air bases where they will serve. This detailed process shows that the delivered aircraft meet high performance and reliability standards.
